Products Testing for ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology)/MoAIT (Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology) Registration.

In 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) was established to promote industrialization in the UAE. The Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), established in 2001, was merged into the structure of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.

Manufacturers, traders, importers, retailers, business owners or any other related parties who act as their representatives must get their products certified from ESMA/MoAIT before placing them for commercial use in the UAE market. 

Requirements for ESMA product registration may vary depending on the scope of certified products; However, the test report from ISO 17025 accredited laboratory mandatory for all the products. If you have any products for registration, please contact HITS lab.
